In the modern world, tourism is one of the largest and fastest growing industries, employing millions of people. It is considered, along with information technology, to be one of the two most dynamic drivers of the emerging global economy, providing opportunities for economic growth, wealth redistribution, and capital development. The main way to develop tourism is its precise planning, which depends on complex research and analysis. Today this field is unthinkable without digital mapping, cartographic modeling and cartographic analysis, which leads to the zoning of tourism. As can be seen from world scientific practice, the zoning of tourism works well in countries where tourism is poorly developed, although it has great potential for development. Statistical data, cartographic methods and computer modeling of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used in the research project of the presented project. The latter provides a comprehensive view of research problems, analyzes information, and provides forecasting. Racha has been selected as the study region. The aim of the study is to prepare the basics of tourism zoning and cartographic analysis for the development of geotourism and the planning of new protected areas. The development of tourism in the Racha region will contribute to nature conservation, the creation of new jobs, the cessation of migration and the economic benefit of the population.
